Let’s go on a Safari!
South Africa? Kenya? Amboseli, Nairobi, Lake Nakuru or Masai Mara? No, thank you. This will do just fine too – Apple Safari 3 Public Beta on PC! They say it’s the fastest web browser on any platform. They claim it loads pages up to 2 times faster than Internet Explorer 7 and up to 1.6 times faster than Firefox 2. And they are pretty sure it executes JavaScript up to 2.8 times faster than Internet Explorer 7 and up to 1.6 times faster than Firefox 2. Give us a week and we’ll tell you. :)
First impressions: download percentage status in the address bar is great (to me that’s the coolest feature ever). Selected form elements look great, but what’s the deal with windows + os x window functionality fusion? I like the Preferences window, but why window resize has to be so hard, and where do you turn that darn clear type off? Actually, nothing works as expected, but hey – it’s a beta. :)

I just downloaded and installed Safari and started using it a bit, and then the most irritating message of all popped up, oops “Safari has encountered a problem and needs to close”. So much for switching to Safari. I’ll just keep for testing thank you very much.

Yes the bugs are the size of elephants. Safari crashed almost every time upon exit on my Vista.
