Firefox and Flash SWF selection and focus problems

Luke Bayers from assertTrue addressed interesting Flash issue today. The bug is this: If I click around in the SWF application, and especially if I select a text input field at some point, I can no longer edit the Firefox Location bar (Address bar).

I noticed this some time ago, and was extremely annoyed by this “feature”, but just couldn’t pin point the reason for such weird behavior. First I thought it was due to some bug in Firefox, but after reading Lukes post, I’l dig into some more. Interesting enough, I checked his examples today on my laptop and DID NOT experience the problems. Strange I must say. Maybe a Firefox extension is causing this? Have to dig into it.
